Bowls Direct Ltd is the New Zealand agent for Drakes Pride lawn bowls made in Liverpool UK. Owner Russ Heys entered the sports industry 1969 working for Wallace and Webb Ltd Auckland. Partner in Stirling Sports Glenfield Mall store 1972, the first branch store for that organisation. Co-owner of Fairplay Sports NZ Ltd 1983-87 and Delta Golf Co Ltd 1984 to date. Continued in golf club manufacture until 2005, Taylor Bowls agent 1995-98 and took over the Drakes NZ agency in 1998. Trained at Drakes factory 2002 for testing and adjusting bowl bias etc. Certificated bowls tester/adjuster, built testing table 2002 [table currently un-registered with WB.] Postal and delivery address:.
